Building a community & Gluten-free Granola

Many people ask me how I built Ovenderful Mom Bakers Community. This is the first time I have written down how I did it. I hope it resonates with everyone who is trying to build communities of impact.

Thank you NOW- Nurturing Outstanding Women for letting me share what I truly believe is a strength that I discovered by chance – building a strong community and the connections.

On the occasion of Women’s Day, let me share a lovely recipe of Gluten-free Granola, that I baked.

Ingredients –

2 cups oats

1/2 cup ragi flakes

1 tbsp each – Chia seeds, melon seeds

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1/2 cup – dried cranberries

1 cup coconut sugar

1 tbsp homemade plum compote(optional)

Homemade Ghee/Clarified butter(you can use peanut butter for a vegan version) – 2-3 tbsp ( only as much as is needed to get it into a shapeable mix)

Method-

Dry roast the oats, ragi flakes. Dry roast the almonds. Mix the two together. Add the seeds, cranberries and coconut sugar. Mix very well. Add the plum compote. Slowly add the ghee and keep mixing until you can pick up the mixture and fill it into a baking tray. Press it well into the tray lined with baking paper.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, at 180 degrees C. Remove from the baking pan and when it is totally cooled off store in air tight container.
